Floyd Piedad, Director for R&D at Stratpoint Technologies, Inc., is a 19-year veteran in the information technology industry specializing in start-up organizations. At Stratpoint, he focuses his energies on new services and product offerings for enterprise, web, mobile, and IT infrastructures.

Floyd has developed solutions for billing, customer relations management, online storefronts, and other web-based applications for organizations such as Microsoft Seattle, Central Bank of the Philippines, and others.

He  is the author  of “High Availability: Design, Techniques, and Processes” published under Prentice Hall PTR and has written several articles for different IT Internet portals.

This IF will form part of the Technology Appreciation Day organized by the Mapua Institute of Technology  and  the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Alumni Association. A Tech Exhibit showcasing  current research technologies of tech idea aggregators will start at 3pm.

Entrance fee: PhP250.00 for students and the academe; PhP500.00 for professionals.
