The 2010 International Workshop on Smart Info-Media System in Asia (SISA 2010) presents every possibility on new information technologies and its smart systems. The SISA 2010 is aiming at promoting young researchers in the field of multimedia system and wireless communications.

2010 International Symposium on Multimedia and Communication Technology is the second international symposium. ISMAC 2010 has many scopes in Multimedia and Communication Technology. In this symposium, new and novel technologies in these research fields will be introduced and discussed.

Dr. Garcia will discuss both the science and business aspects of in vitro diagnostics, with particular emphasis on emerging markets and the developing world.

This is a Special Lecture on Stem Cells by Dr. Rey Garcia, Balik Scientist 2010. This is made together with the Balik Scientist Program of the Department of Science and Technology and St. Scholastica's College Manila.

Scheduled on July 30, 2010 (Friday), from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Caridad Barrion Hall, St. Scholastica's College, Manila. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m.

Dr. Garcia will discuss the science behind stem cell therapeutics and the hurdles impeding progress towards the clinic. Controversies surrounding the technology as well as the why of investors' "wait and see" attitude will also be explained.
