Startup Weekend is an intense 54-hour event where participants share ideas, carve out business plans, complete prototypes, and discover if their ideas can become viable businesses. This hands-on experience happens over the course of one weekend -- starting Friday 7 pm and ending Sunday night. Startup Weekend brings together people with different skillsets - primarily software developers, graphics designers and business people - to build applications and develop a commercial case around them.

The Philippine American Academy of Science and Engineering (PAASE) will be having its next annual meeting in Houston, Texas on May 4-5, 2012.  It will be a gathering of like-minded colleagues who are passionate about the sciences and engineering. More importantly, it will be a gathering for those of us who have a similar passion for the Philippines.

ON3, a program created by STAC-Silicon Valley, is an annual pitching competition for Filipino startup companies involved in technology including consumer web, Internet, mobile, wireless, social media, gaming, software, clean, and biotech.

Calling all teams that have exciting and interesting ideas using technology for health - Health Innovations by Pinoys (HIP). TheTechBootCamp2012-Health will now commence on March 24 with a pitch. In the lead up to March 24, HIPteams are invited to sign up on two Saturdays (March 10 and 17 from 2 to 5 PM), which ever date fits your schedule. This pre-boot camp mentoring session fine tunes the business concepts in preparation for Day 1 of the boot camp.
