Out of curiosity (and in the context of Filipino technopreneurship and what it takes to communicate effectively to the global market), is being in the Philippines (and being associated with the "Philippine brand" if there is such a thing) bane or boon to founding a tech startup? Or does it matter at all?
Why is it that, unlike in India, there are very few IT/Tech companies (specifically software companies) in the Philippines have gone global.
Why the Philippines is way behind in technology as compared to other countries and what do we do about it?
Just like the Software industry, I believe a talented and well-trained team like the ones left behind by Intel and Numonyx might be able to UNITE themselves to start an outsourcing IC design services company or companies.
